Kerry Bowls Club
Kerry Bowls Club was formed in 1976, and has been running for the last 40+ years ever since. It is a friendly and successful hub of the village attracting bowlers of all ages, and skills. The club can be found next to the Village hall and village car park. It is both a sporting and socialising facility with the clubhouse having both bar and food prep areas.
For anyone wishing to read more about the original history and the first 20 years of the running of the club, (1976 - 1996), a detailed history written by Mervyn Hussey can be downloaded in two parts from here:

Kerry Bowling Club is affiliated to both the Montgomeryshire and the Welsh
bowling associations, and currently has two teams that enter into
the local club leagues and various cup competitions. There is a men’s team
and a mixed men and ladies team, both of which consist of 16
players playing, which is 4 rinks of 4 people. We are hoping to have
a veterans team.
Members of the club can also enter various county
competitions which again are held throughout the season.
The club runs a club night, or roll-up as we call it on most Monday evenings at 6:15pm, where club members enjoy a social game and get-together. We welcome new members to come and have a
go at bowling.
Although only a small village club we have
Welsh international representatives in both indoor short mat and
outdoor lawn bowls. We also have Montgomeryshire county
representatives in the club.

local teams that the club don’t play in the two leagues.
The club also go on an annual tour at the beginning of May. This year, the club went to Newquay Cornwall, winning both games against clubs from that area.
